Though Madison-area restaurants benefitted from the City’s streateries program and were able to expand some outdoor eating spaces during the COVID crisis this summer, restaurants are turning to online fundraisers in the hopes that loyal patrons will help their favorite spots through the winter. LGBTQ-owned establishments are no exeption. The Daisy Cafe, the Old Fashioned, as well as one of the few remaining gay bars, The Shamrock, all have Go Fund Me pages to raise money from community members.
