MADISON- The Dane Arts Buy Local (DABL) Night Market returns to the U.S. Bank Building on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 4 to 9 p.m. Initiated in 2015, the event connects local artists and businesses to facilitate sales and commissions of original artwork from Dane County artists. The 2016 Night Market generated $18,500 in night-of sales, with an additional $50,000 in continued art sales and commissions after the event. This year’s event will feature 30 local artists’ work, a panel on the business of art in music with five leaders in the music industry, live music, dance and art performances, food, drink and more.

“Through Dane Arts, this event will help bridge the economic and creative impact the arts generate across arenas,” said County Executive Joe Parisi. “The event is intended to bring together our talented, local artists and our thriving business community. I am very excited about the future of Dane Arts and the work we hope to achieve.”

DABL 2017 will be held at the U.S. Bank Building on the Capitol Square. This is a private event and in order to attend participants must register: https://dabl2017.splashthat.com/.
