(MADISON, Wis.)—, Executive Director KelsyAnne Schoenhaar announced today that Encore Studio for the Performing Arts is rehearsing Marriage-Ability. All performances to be held at the Mary Dupont Wahlers Theatre, 1480 Martin St. Madison, WI.

Marriage-Ability (February 5-20, 2016)

Encore presents their newest musical comedy, Marriage-Ability. In typical Encore form, the company thoroughly examines marriage and relationships through the lenses of people with disabilities. The lyrics range from a traditional stance on love and relationships to the less conventional in a song about focused on cheating and the 7-year itch. Songs include: Love Divine, I Don’t Know Why I Married You, Er’body Gettin’ Crazy Tonight (a polka), The Bitch’s Tango, Everything’s OK Now, Don’t Go to Bed Angry (blues) and People with Disabilities Shouldn’t Get Married. (Reggae)

This production will be directed by Executive Director Schoenhaar and Artistic Associate Heather Renken. This project is funded in part by a grant from the New Harvest Foundation, Inc.

ABOUT ENCORE STUDIO FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS:
Founded in September of 2000, Encore is the only professional theatre company for people with disabilities in Wisconsin and one of very few in the United States. Encore’s home theater is the Mary Dupont Wahlers Theatre at Encore! Studio, in Madison, WI; however, they also play to conferences in Madison, throughout Wisconsin, and beyond.
