Girls Rock Camp Madison will hold a fundraising bowlathon from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 19, at Badger Bowl, 506 East Badger Road, Madison. If you’ll be bowling, your admission is any amount over $10.
If possible, you’re asked to assemble a team of between 7 and 12 bowlers, but if you can’t please come anyway and we’ll find a place for you!
Pizza and soda will be included with your donation, as well as bowling shoe rental. A raffle will be held, and GRC coffee will be for sale. All proceeds will benefit GRC, a non-profit organization that focuses on building positive self-esteem through music.
“Not only will this event be a lot of fun, but it is critical for our organization,” says GRC musical director Beth Kille, a 19-time Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) award winning artist from Madison. “The funds raised will help us ensure that all girls, regardless of their financial means, have the opportunity to rock!”
What is Girls Rock Camp?
Girls Rock Camp Madison is an intense, one-week day camp for girls 8 to 18.
Campers of all skill levels learn guitar, drums, keyboards, bass and vocals; form a band; write a song; and perform at the end of the week for friends, family and hundreds of screaming fans.
