The 2026 National Women’s Music Festival — the 50th — will be held at the Marriott Madison West\, 1313 John Q. Hammons Dr.\, Middleton\, WI 53562 on July 3-6\, 2025. \nFor more information\, browse this site or send an e-mail to nwmf.info@gmail.com. \nThe National Women’s Music Festival is a four-day musical and cultural extravaganza that incorporates all facets of women’s lives. It’s a jam-packed long weekend where choices for things to do range from workshops\, concerts\, comedy\, theatre presentations\, a marketplace\, newly released films and videos\, a live auction\, and much\, much more! \nAttendees come from all genders and cultures\, cutting across ethnic\, racial\, sexual\, age\, and ability boundaries. Likewise\, Festival programming reflects many points of view; a diversity of ideas and topics are explored and discussed in a safe environment. Festival is an environment in which philosophies and politics are open for discussion\, not mandated or judged. \nMainstage concerts are routinely interpreted for the deaf. Interpreter services can be provided for workshops and other Festival events upon request. Volunteer opportunities and work-exchange of four-hour work-shifts is available for reduced-price registration. This is limited and arrangements must be made prior to the Festival. || $150-$400

DESCRIPTION:This event: Has LGBTQ content\, Is LGBTQ hosted\, May be of interest to the LGBTQ community || Sun Prairie Pride Fest Celebration is a welcoming\, family friendly event that is planned and coordinated by a collective group of Sun Prairie leaders. The event has been planned with our community in partnership with Sun Prairie Community Schools\, the Sun Prairie Area School District\, the City of Sun Prairie\, local faith-based organizations\, nonprofits\, businesses and many volunteers. \nThis group of Sun Prairie leaders have come together to provide a safe and inclusive place where kids and families feel surrounded by support and love. This celebration reflects the Sun Prairie community support for LGBTQIA+ rights and a collective message that Sun Prairie is for everyone. \nBuilt on a shared purpose and commitment to positively impact the outcomes for LGBTQIA+ youth\, Pride Fest remains focused on changing our local data from the Dane County Youth Assessment as seen below. \n38.7% of high school youth who identify as LGBTQ have thought about completing suicide in the past 12 months as compared to 13.9% of youth who identify as straight or heterosexual. \n77.5% of youth who identify as gay or lesbian\, 70.5% of youth who identify as bi-sexual and 63.9 % of youth who identify as questioning their sexual orientation report feeling anxious always\, compared to 44.1% of heterosexual youth. \n58.2% of high school youth who identify as LGBTQ confirmed symptoms of depression compared to the 24.4% of youth who identified as straight or heterosexual. \nThis event connects youth\, their families\, and community members with resources and positive role models that can support and uplift them all year round with a community of caring individuals and organizations. \nAs leading institutions in our community\, we integrate strategies for advancing equity\, honoring our diverse identity and fostering an inclusive culture across our city\, schools and systems. We are proud to recognize and elevate Pride Month as part of our commitment to honoring the diverse identities and experiences within our community. These efforts are meaningful and remain an important part of how we build belonging in Sun Prairie. \nSun Prairie Pride Fest is a free\, family-friendly event that is open to everyone. Every dollar raised goes straight back into supporting this event.
