SUMMARY:Speed Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This event: Is LGBTQ hosted\, May be of interest to the LGBTQ community || Meeting new friends is hard. Where do you look? How do you choose who to talk to? Or what to talk about? And who has the time??? Taking a cue from speed dating\, but removing the pressure and stress of romantic expectations\, Delta is proud to debut a new form of community-building: Speed Meeting! \nHappening the second Thursday of every month\, this event takes the guesswork out of new social connections. Show up\, grab a beverage\, and let Delta staff do the rest. And feel free to bring a friend: The more the merrier! We’ll provide the conversation prompts (and the timer)\, and attendees will get the opportunity to have a short but lively discussion with a rotating set of fellow community-seekers. Stick around after the official programming to mingle and pick up where you left off with your brand-new pals. Meeting new people has never been so easy\, or so quick! || Free to meet!

SUMMARY:OPEN Spring Career Fair
DESCRIPTION:Can you hear that? We’re gearing up for the Spring Affirming Career Fair of 2026! \nSave the date: \nFriday\, April 24th \nLocation: TruStage “Lighthouse” building \n  \nAND now that everyone is learning that TruStage is the venue for nonprofit events\, we need to make room for others in the community. This means we need to look for other venue locations for the Fall Career Summit and Winter Gala. \nADDRESSING SAFETY & SECURITY: \nYep\, we hear your heart on this. \nSo what we’ll do is advertise the event\, the date\, the time…. just not the exact location to the public. Registrants will get notified of the venue location 48 hours in advance via email.\nWe’ll have to think of something for last minute registrants. \n  \nWhat are your thoughts on venue for the Fall Career Summit? \nWe have used the Monona Terrace and Goodman South Campus – Madison College in the past. What other venues do you think we should consider? \nFeel free to email Laura at laura@openmadison.org with your ideas\, questions\, and concerns.
