Incubator) returns May 2026 with six diverse Madison Area choreographic works. \nIDC’s DELVE Incubator provides an opportunity for dancers and choreographers to create and explore artistically\, while making new connections and performing for local audiences. Join us to celebrate and uplift queer joy in the Dane County community! Attendees can expect to see performances\, connect with others\, complete art projects\, participate in a clothing swap\, and get resources and recommendations from around Dane County. It is called the “Always There” fair to be inclusive of all identities and to uplift the fact that queer people and queer joy are\, have been\, and always will be a key part of an equitable society. This is an event for the community\, by the community\, to help all youth feel safe\, seen\, heard\, welcomed\, and loved. The Always There Fair is at Badger Ridge Middle School on May 9th\, 2026 from 9am-12pm. 300 Richard Street\, Verona\, WI 53593 There will also be a Zumba fitness fundraiser for PFLAG and the GSAs from 2-4pm for only $10. A luminous vision of humanity inspired by the turbulent world of Greek mythology\, Sokolow’s “Odes” is set to the music of Edgard Varèse\, a progressive French/American composer and acclaimed pioneer of electronic music. \nSokolow (February 9\, 1910 – March 29\, 2000) was an international cultural icon\, daughter of immigrants\, and social activist whose powerful theatrical choreography profoundly shaped the course of modern dance. Her transformative work remains a vital force–a powerful choreographic voice that has never been silenced. \n“Odes” demands intense physical concentration and dramatic depth\, with choreography that poses multiple challenges in timing\, dynamics\, balance\,\nand projection through space. A luminous vision of humanity inspired by the turbulent world of Greek mythology\, Sokolow’s “Odes” is set to the music of Edgard Varèse\, a progressive French/American composer and acclaimed pioneer of electronic music. \nSokolow (February 9\, 1910 – March 29\, 2000) was an international cultural icon\, daughter of immigrants\, and social activist whose powerful theatrical choreography profoundly shaped the course of modern dance. Her transformative work remains a vital force–a powerful choreographic voice that has never been silenced. \n“Odes” demands intense physical concentration and dramatic depth\, with choreography that poses multiple challenges in timing\, dynamics\, balance\,\nand projection through space. It is a singular artistic challenge that will require the 20 dancers (cast from the two companies) to work in harmony as one—yet sensitively maintain their individuality. \nThe program also features Kanopy co- artistic director’s Lisa Thurrell’s (Thurrell) Ekstasi\, a celestial journey inspired St. Peter’s Basilica\, the cathedral of art in the Vatican City\, that chronicles the ecstasy and the agony of pursuing a divine path or transcendence. Staged against a tableau of Renaissance Baroque masterpieces\, including those of Bernini\, Giotto and Michelangelo\, Thurrell’s choreography artfully lifts the dancers—costumed in ethereal in flowing silks- in their spiritual ascent with a stunning series of ensemble pieces\, a solo and duets. \nAnd Kanopy’s co-artistic director\, Robert E. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\nThe historic Tarlton Theatre presents Legends of Drag In Titletown: A Video Retrospective Reprise! \n\n\n\n\nGreen Bay legend Za reprises his long-awaited video retrospective\, Legends of Drag In Titletown\, at the historic Tarlton Theatre! The reprise will feature pageant performances and drag shows captured on video at Za’s Video Bar\, Historic West Theatre\, and other venues in Northeast Wisconsin between 1979 and 2004. \nThis updated version includes more performances from local legends such as Jeff Jennings\, Katrina K\, and Elsie BoVine. Other performances include Kelli Jo Klein\, TC Hammond\, Gregory Diring\, Justine D’Zire\, DuWanna Moore\, BJ Daniels\, Shannon DuPree\, and Sage LaRue\, among other favorites.
