DESCRIPTION:The historic Tarlton Theatre and Bay Area Council On Gender Diversity are proud to celebrate trans visibility! \nThe celebration will include poetry\, music\, art\, special guests\, and featured speaker Keva Schultz.\nKeva Schulz was born in Valley Forge\, PA and raised in Shawano\, WI. She holds a BS and PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from UW-Madison. Keva had a 37-year career developing data storage hardware at IBM and Seagate Technology\, which included 20 years managing hard disk drive recording head suspension development. After coming out as a transgender woman in 2017\, she founded Seagate PRIDE!\, Seagate’s global LGBTQ+ employee resource group (seven sites worldwide) and also coordinated the activities for the six other ERGS at the Seagate Bloomington\, MN site. Since retiring in 2019\, Keva volunteers as a transgender and environmental advocate and works on visual arts.\n𝐃𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬Doors and dinner available at 5:00 PM.\n𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞Showtime at 6:30 PM.\nFull dinner menu and beverages available. \n𝐓𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬 Tickets available now at $5 per person. Look no further than these regular Wednesday night gentle yoga sessions. \nStarting Wednesday\, May 14th at 6:00 p.m.\, Bruce Kiefaber will begin sponsoring weekly one-hour outdoor yoga sessions at Lake Farms Park – just off the bike trail. This outdoor pavilion looks out over the Nine Springs e-Way with beautiful views. There is a nearby parking lot for those who use a car\, and if you ride a bike\, you can’t miss the pavilion as it is feet from the bike trail. \nPlease bring a yoga mat\, and water if you want. \nA donation of $10 per class is suggested\, but not required. \nWe hope to see you there. ||

DESCRIPTION:This event: Is LGBTQ hosted || Get ready for an extra challenge! Are 300 piece puzzles too easy for you and your pair? Come try puzzling a 500 piece puzzle! Prizes will be awarded to the top finishing pair. There will also be door prizes. All pairs get to keep their competition puzzle. \nEach pair will receive the same puzzle concealed in a bag. No one will see the puzzle before the timer starts. After a countdown\, pairs will open their boxes and start puzzling. A competition judge will monitor teams and record finishing times. Once you have completed your puzzle\, you may leave\, or stay and work on another puzzle and enjoy a drink or two! \n6-7pm: Optional casual puzzling happy hour. SUMMARY:Walking With Jesus: Christians Interrupting Anti-Trans Violence
DESCRIPTION:This event: Has LGBTQ content\, Is LGBTQ hosted\, May be of interest to the LGBTQ community || On Good Friday\, Christians remember a God who suffered death out of immense love for humanity. This Good Friday morning\, queer- and trans-affirming Christians will gather in a solemn observance of the Stations of the Cross\, an ancient Christian liturgy\, to affirm Trans existence and renounce violent assault on Trans bodies and souls. Participants will gather at the Way of the Cross Garden and follow a 1.3-mile procession with stops at significant locations in downtown Madison\, including the Federal Courthouse\, the State Capitol\, and the County Public Safety Building. At each station there will be a scripture reading\, meditation\, and reflection. The procession will last approximately 90 minutes and will return to the Way of the Cross Garden at its conclusion. \nThis event is organized by Stone Catchers Madison\, a queer- and trans-led group of progressive Christians dedicated to interrupting spiritual and political violence against marginalized peoples.
