This welcoming evening brings together LGBTQ+ adults of all ages (18+) to share a meal\, learn together\, and honor our collective history. \nDoors open at 5:30 PM\, with a delicious dinner buffet served at 5:45 PM\, catered by Banzo. At 6:30 PM\, we’ll gather for a featured presentation by David Callenbach. The event will also feature information from both the Madison LGBTQ+ Archive and the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project. \nWhether you lived this history\, helped create it\, or are eager to learn more\, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to connect across generations\, reflect on the past\, and strengthen our community today. \nThis event is sponsored by the Madison LGBTQ+ 50+ Alliance\, a partnership between OutReach LGBTQ+ Community Center and the Madison Senior Center. Clarenbach is a longtime Madison-based leader\, legislator\, and nationally recognized LGBTQ+ civil rights advocate. Elected to public office at just 18\, he went on to serve nearly two decades in the Wisconsin State Assembly\, where he played a pivotal role in advancing fairness and equality. Clarenbach was instrumental in the passage of Wisconsin’s landmark Gay and Lesbian Civil Rights Act of 1982\, the first law in the nation to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. Drawing on his lived experience and deep ties to Wisconsin’s LGBTQ+ movement\, David brings a powerful historical perspective rooted in activism\, policy\, and community. || Suggested Donation $0-35+

Are you a member of the LGBTQ+ community and need a safe space? Look no further than these regular Wednesday night gentle yoga sessions. \nStarting Wednesday\, May 14th at 6:00 p.m.\, Bruce Kiefaber will begin sponsoring weekly one-hour outdoor yoga sessions at Lake Farms Park – just off the bike trail. This outdoor pavilion looks out over the Nine Springs e-Way with beautiful views. There is a nearby parking lot for those who use a car\, and if you ride a bike\, you can’t miss the pavilion as it is feet from the bike trail. \nPlease bring a yoga mat\, and water if you want. \nA donation of $10 per class is suggested\, but not required. \nWe hope to see you there. ||

DESCRIPTION:This event: Is LGBTQ hosted || Get ready for an extra challenge! Are 300 piece puzzles too easy for you and your pair? Come try puzzling a 500 piece puzzle! Prizes will be awarded to the top finishing pair. There will also be door prizes. All pairs get to keep their competition puzzle. \nEach pair will receive the same puzzle concealed in a bag. No one will see the puzzle before the timer starts. After a countdown\, pairs will open their boxes and start puzzling. A competition judge will monitor teams and record finishing times. Once you have completed your puzzle\, you may leave\, or stay and work on another puzzle and enjoy a drink or two! \n6-7pm: Optional casual puzzling happy hour. Grab a drink and warm up for the main event! Practice puzzles will be provided. \n7-9pm: Speed puzzling contest starts – It’s your time to shine! \n$40 per pair || $40 per pair
