DESCRIPTION:Join us for a joyful\, celebratory ride supporting the LGBTQ+ cycling community\, centered on visibility\, belonging\, and showing up together. \n\n\n\n\nWe will meet at 10:00am for bike decorating and good vibes and roll out 11:00am. \nT-shirt pre-orders are available at checkout for Trek Bicycle Pride Ride shirts (see shirt below). \nThis is a slow roll through the heart of Madison\, created in partnership with incredible local community organizations like: Wisconsin Bike Fed\, Madison Bikes\, Machinery Row\, Beth Skogen Photography\, Active Youth Wisconsin and friends. \nWe’ll kick things off at McPike Park with music\, bike decorating\, and plenty of pre-ride fun. From there\, we’ll roll together downtown\, finishing back at McPike Park\, where the celebration continues with ice cream\, music\, games\, and community hangs. \nThis ride is about being seen\, being yourself\, and riding together in all the ways that make cycling joyful. \nYou can pick up your shirt at the Trek Tent on the day of the event. \nWhat to bring:\nBring hydration\nHelmets required\nLights recommended\nFlat kit recommended \nBikes:\nALL BIKES WELCOME — cruisers\, commuters\, cargo\, road\, MTB\, e-bikes\, sparkle bikes\, you name it. \nCome as you are. SUMMARY:Safe Schools\, Safe Communities Conference
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\nWe are excited to announce that educator\, bestselling author\, activist and the first transgender NCAA D1 men’s athlete\, Schuyler Bailar\, will be joining us as our morning keynote and breakout session presenter. Schuyler’s books will be available for sale on site\, and he will be signing over lunch.\nConference participants will gain critical skills\, tools\, knowledge\, and connections to help lead and support efforts to create safer\, more inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ youth across Wisconsin\, with an emphasis on LGBTQ+ Youth of Color and Transgender and Nonbinary Youth. Our target audience includes youth leaders\, families of LGBTQ+ youth\, and adults who work with youth and their families.\nYoung people are encouraged to attend with their families or as delegates representing their school or community-based club. School and community groups bringing students should have one adult advisor or chaperone for every five students. Advisors/chaperones will be responsible for collecting and bringing completed youth registration forms and payment (if applicable) to the conference.
