This outdoor pavilion looks out over the Nine Springs e-Way with beautiful views. There is a nearby parking lot for those who use a car\, and if you ride a bike\, you can’t miss the pavilion as it is feet from the bike trail. \nPlease bring a yoga mat\, and water if you want. \nA donation of $10 per class is suggested\, but not required. \nWe hope to see you there. ||

And it’s all because of your generosity\, your compassion\, and your commitment to ending the HIV epidemic. \nAs we honor and celebrate the legacy of ARCW\, join us to ignite action\, build access\, and ensure health for all. \n  \nYour generosity expands access to care\nNet proceeds from Make A Promise directly support the health and well-being of patients in Milwaukee. Through contributions to the Vivent Health Patient Medication Fund and the Dr. Brian P. Buggy Fund at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation\, your generosity helps address some of the most pressing challenges affecting our patients’ health — including food insecurity\, emergency financial assistance\, and medication co-pays. These vital supports help ensure patients receive the care they need\, even when those needs fall beyond the reach of traditional funding sources. \nThe Make A Promise tradition\nIn 1986\, a group of gay men hosted a dinner party in a Milwaukee-area home to raise money for the fight against HIV/AIDS. DESCRIPTION:This event: May be of interest to the LGBTQ community || Art and Action Event to Blend Activism\, Compassion and Community\nFree event on April 11 will inspire creativity and connection to be part of the solutions \nMADISON\, WI – The greater Madison community is invited to turn creativity into peace and activism at “The Warm Up: Love Your Neighbor with Action.” The free community event will take place from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday\, April 11\, 2026 at 3705 N. Sherman Avenue in Madison. \nAt “The Warm Up\,” an inaugural event hosted by Sherman Avenue United Methodist Church\, people can make action plans and participate in printmaking as an act of love and resistance to hate. Attendees can bring a blank t-shirt(s) or sweatshirt (s) for printing\, or create posters and signs. \n“Many of us are asking\, ‘What more can I do to fight racism\, facism\, xenophobia\, injustice and other inhumane actions and forms of oppression?’” said Annik Dupaty\, event organizer. “Collective acts of resistance\, demonstrating love for our neighbors\, supporting and getting involved with local organizations\, staying informed\, investing in the wellness of others while practicing self-care are important actions we can all take. That’s why we’ve named this event a warm up – our aim is for this to be one part of many actions and activities around the county that build up to bigger societal changes.” \nThe event seeks to foster connections and civic engagement among people who are seeking ways to make a difference locally. An “Action Marketplace” will feature local organizations sharing opportunities to get involved in issues including voter rights\, Black liberation\, immigrant advocacy\, wellness and mental health awareness\, housing affordability and more. Plus\, people can connect with neighbors over conversation\, coffee\, and treats. \nThis community action event will be a welcoming and accessible space to all\, especially those feeling concerned or frustrated by current events and this administration and unsure of what to do. “Uncertainty in the world is constant\, but what we can control is how we can get together in our local community to push things forward. This is how we’re going to see change\,” said Rev. David Hart\, III\, pastor at Sherman Avenue United Methodist Church. \nThe event reflects Sherman Church’s commitment to advancing diversity\, equity\, inclusion and belonging\, while demonstrating love\, care and support to members of the community. “You don’t have to be a ‘church person’ to attend. Schuyler’s books will be available for sale on site\, and he will be signing over lunch.\nConference participants will gain critical skills\, tools\, knowledge\, and connections to help lead and support efforts to create safer\, more inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ youth across Wisconsin\, with an emphasis on LGBTQ+ Youth of Color and Transgender and Nonbinary Youth. Our target audience includes youth leaders\, families of LGBTQ+ youth\, and adults who work with youth and their families.\nYoung people are encouraged to attend with their families or as delegates representing their school or community-based club. SUMMARY:Pairs Jigsaw Puzzle Contest
DESCRIPTION:This event: Is LGBTQ hosted || Grab a friend and see how quickly you can complete a 300 piece puzzle. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishing pair. There will also be door prizes. All pairs get to keep their competition puzzle. \nEach pair will receive the same puzzle concealed in a bag. No one will see the puzzle before the timer starts. After a countdown\, pairs will open their boxes and start puzzling. A competition judge will monitor teams and record finishing times. Once you have completed your puzzle\, you may leave\, or stay and work on another puzzle and enjoy a drink or two! \n6-7pm: Optional casual puzzling happy hour. Grab a drink and warm up for the main event! Practice puzzles will be provided. \n7-9pm: Speed puzzling contest starts – It’s your time to shine! \n$40 per pair || $40 per pair

A luminous vision of humanity inspired by the turbulent world of Greek mythology\, Sokolow’s “Odes” is set to the music of Edgard Varèse\, a progressive French/American composer and acclaimed pioneer of electronic music. \nSokolow (February 9\, 1910 – March 29\, 2000) was an international cultural icon\, daughter of immigrants\, and social activist whose powerful theatrical choreography profoundly shaped the course of modern dance. Her transformative work remains a vital force–a powerful choreographic voice that has never been silenced. \n“Odes” demands intense physical concentration and dramatic depth\, with choreography that poses multiple challenges in timing\, dynamics\, balance\,\nand projection through space. It is a singular artistic challenge that will require the 20 dancers (cast from the two companies) to work in harmony as one—yet sensitively maintain their individuality. \nThe program also features Kanopy co- artistic director’s Lisa Thurrell’s (Thurrell) Ekstasi\, a celestial journey inspired St. Peter’s Basilica\, the cathedral of art in the Vatican City\, that chronicles the ecstasy and the agony of pursuing a divine path or transcendence.
