Position Announcement: Dane County Farmers’ Market Food Access Coordinator

Description: The DCFM is seeking a Food Access Coordinator to manage all activities involved with the administration of the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) at our markets. The Food Access Coordinator position requires a diverse skill set, flexibility, and passion for healthy food access. The position also requires an understanding of SNAP and the Wisconsin FoodShare program, nutrition incentive programs, volunteer coordination, agriculture and local foods, as well as demonstrated office and people skills.

Pay/Location: This is a part-time, year-round position that averages 20 hours per week with a pay rate of $18 – $20/hour, dependent upon experience. The Food Access Coordinator (FAC) reports directly to the DCFM Market Manager. When not at the market, job duties are performed remotely. The DCFM does not have a physical office.

Benefits: This position offers 20 hours of paid time off per calendar year and a $50/month cell phone stipend. The Food Access Coordinator can expect support for market related professional development and networking events.
