|JOB SUMMARY:||Under the general supervision of the Athletic Director, manage a Division I Men’s Ice Hockey team as Head Coach in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations. Areas of responsibility include: practice organization/coaching, recruiting, conditioning, supervision of assistant coaches, budget, public relations, and other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director.|
|RESPONSIBILITIES:||Organizes and administers intercollegiate sport(s). May supervise a staff and/or have budgetary responsibility. May conduct practices, identify and recruit qualified student-athletes, develop competitive schedules, coordinate team travel, and insure compliance with governing rules and regulations.|

Bachelor’s Degree or the ability to obtain a bachelor’s degree within 12 months of the appointment
|QUALIFICATIONS:||-A minimum of three (3) years of ice hockey coaching experience is preferred.
-Previous collegiate ice hockey playing experience is preferred.
-Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and administrators, faculty, staff, and students
The successful applicant must be able to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions; work well independently and in teams; and be flexible in accepting new responsibilities.

This is a Limited appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
