Artists’ Night – Fall 2022

Artists and venues in Madison want to make more opportunities to share our work with each other, so we have decided to create another opportunity to share art.

Additionally, many of the venues are boycotting MMoCA Gallery Night this November in solidarity with the artists of the Wisconsin Triennial.

Whether they are boycotting or not, venues all over Madison will be participating in this alternative to the city’s traditional gallery night.

 Communication will be open 6-8pm. Check individual venues for their hours, as they will vary.

An after-party for Artists’ Night will be held at Giant Jones Brewing 8-10pm.

Communication: 1) Communication – Revelations (group exhibition) – Abbie Jane Kurtz, Ava Moore, Ava Parr, Betsy Korbinyr, Finn Porter, Hillary Mitchell, Josie Schoen, Keegan Onefoot-Wenkman, Keith Phelps, Lori B, Matthew Gernandt, Meija/Maya Borowski, Natalie Branch, niibiiwakamigkwe, Paulina Ivanova, Sara Coenen, Tim Whitney. 2) Featured Artists in the shop will be Sturgeon Amlaw and Ava Stevenson. 3) GG of Green Goodies will be doing live painting. 4) Itty Bitty Bookstore will be hosting a pop-up bookshop. Giant Jones Brewing: “Women’s Work 2022” features woman-identifying artists in Dane County, and includes the winners of this year’s Forward Art Prize! Open 4-10pm, 931 E Main St (Entrance on Brearly St., through the pink door).

Mad City Dream Homes: Defending Black Girlhood founder Lilada Gee will be present to showcase her inspiring artwork for sale at Mad City Dream Homes. Open 5-8pm, 1619 Monroe St, Suite 1.

Midwest Clay Project: Midwest Clay Project studio members. Open 5-8pm, 78 N Bryan St.
