Femme Punk Record Spin with DJ Avalon and wendy

A DJ since 2011, Avalon made her mark in Philly with NEW RADIO: a monthly dance party celebrating women musicians in punk, riot grrl, and rock n roll.
NEW RADIO was a labor of love for the women and femmes of punk and their fans that led To DJ Avalon spinning at Alien She: an exhibition examining the lasting impact of Riot Grrrl on artists and cultural producers in 2014.
Since then she has charmed a variety of audiences across clubs and bars with her strong song selection, super-human crowd reading ability, and emphasis on pushing women and lgbtq artists toward the spotlight.
Join DJ Avalon at Last Rites Thursday July 28th from 9 pm to close for a Femme Punk night of records that are well loved but rarely played. #girlstothefront
