Helen Boyd virtual presentation

Helen Boyd, author and lecturer in gender studies, will provide some of the history of transgender identities, an overview of the varieties of transgender experience, and some context of Fox Cities Reads book selection “George” in the light of transgender literature. She’ll be available for questions immediately after her presentation.

Boyd is the author of “My Husband Betty” and “She’s Not the Man I Married”, books chronicling contemporary crossdressing culture, relational gender, and her own marriage to a trans woman. While she isn’t teaching, she consults on films, delivers lectures, and does training in gender diversity for corporate and community groups.
