This is a low hybrid role, which means that you will have the flexibility to work both onsite and at a distance. You will collaborate onsite at either our Cashton, WI or La Farge, WI office for 3-5 days per week, and the rest of the time you can choose to work remotely or onsite.

Summary of Role

The Director of Diversity will lead a comprehensive Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) strategy and set direction to the co-op’s plans to attract, retain, develop and advance a diverse workforce. This role will enable equitable practices and cultivate an inclusive workplace culture through collaboration, partnerships, communication and capacity building across the co-op.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o Sets and leads strategic direction of DEIB strategies at the co-op to achieve employee experience goals and objectives.
o Serve as expert consultant, trusted advisor and strategic partner to key internal partners, including senior leaders, HR, Racial Equity Core Team (RECT) and Employee Resource Groups (ERG).
o Collaborate across the cooperative to influence change, raise awareness of inclusive practices, aid in embedding practices within team norms, and achieve a positive employee experience for employees at the co-op.
o Leverage data, analytics and insights to report progress, identify opportunities, prioritize actions and measure outcomes of DEIB efforts.
o Oversee and support development and evolution of Employee Resource Groups.
o Partner with Human Relations to consult on policy development, hiring practices, engagement, training and total rewards to advance objectives of DEIB strategy.
o Maintain a growth mindset and while influencing others across the co-op to engage in the same.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

o Maintain knowledge and expertise to remain up to date on current best practices impacting DEIB.
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

o 8 years progressive experience developing and leading diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) strategies, policies and procedures required.
o Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
o Strong team player and community builder who can build collaborative relationships required.
o Demonstrated ability to build trust create safety with people who are different from themselves across race, class, disabilities, gender, sexual orientation and other human differences.
o Understanding of core constructs such as structural racism, privilege, justice, equity, oppression and anti-racism, etc.
o Ability to set a strategy and manage projects including establishing goals and timetables, clarifying mutual expectations, and evaluating results required.
o Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills both in-person and virtually; ability to lead meetings effectively including giving oral presentations to small and large groups.
o Knowledge of relevant amendments, laws, regulations, and best practices related to DEIB preferred.
o Strong problem-solving skills required.
o Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion required.
o Strong attention to detail and organizational skills preferred.
o Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Base salary range: $92,768 – $127,338 per year
This salary range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary range and hiring at the maximum of the salary range is not typical.
