This position will provide the full range of professional human resources services at the Department of Justice to a wide variety of staff and managers within assigned division(s). This position handles human resources functions with a high degree of independent judgment and in accordance with complex rules, statutes and other applicable polices. These functions include recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, maintaining HRIS data, policy and procedure development and administration, employment relations activities such as performance management, disciplinary investigations, disability accommodations, FMLA and other leave. The incumbent will provide expertise and consultation on human resources topics to supervisors, employees, and the public, and may be required to provide training to employees, managers, and other HR staff. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate exceptional customer service by establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with managers, supervisors, employees, and all customers.
