Lallande Evening Kitchen Staff

Hours: Wednesday-Saturday 2pm – midnight
Pay: $20-25/hour; based on experience

Job Description/Primary Duties:
Do you love being in the kitchen or have a strong interest in learning? We are seeking a team member to join our small kitchen team at our restaurant, Lallande. Lallande is a French bistro with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. We are looking for someone who responds well to coaching, has great endurance and integrity.

Our shifts can be long and busy, but they are very meaningful. Our restaurant is open Wednesday-Saturday. Most shifts begin at 2pm and end at Midnight. And we all do dishes and clean up together. Must be willing to cross train to food runner and host as well. Pay is based on experience. Hiring staff who are willing to be with us at least 9 months and can work during Badger football games during the fall.

Essential Responsibilities:
§ Food prep
§ Assist in getting orders out in a timely manner
§ Keeping kitchen clean and organized
§ Following all food and safety procedures
§ Opening and closing duties
§ Other tasks as assigned

Experience is preferred in the restaurant industry, but if you are passionate and eager to learn, we will train you in an intimate restaurant environment. We’re looking for a dependable self-starter who can think quickly and memorize orders, as well as a person who has a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills.

Competencies:
Our staff must be self-motivated, kind, hardworking, organized, able to multitask, and have a good attention to detail. Great interpersonal skills and communication with coworkers, management, and customers is needed. Friendly and able to work in a fast paced environment. Able to receive constructive criticism feedback on a daily basis, and willing to ask questions to meet Lallande’s standards.

Education and Experience:
§ 18 years of age
§ High school diploma or equivalent
§ Kitchen experience preferred
§ Legally able to work in the U.S.
