2nd Annual Latino Art Fair of Dane County seeks artists!

by | Jun 13, 2014 | 0 comments

Please accept this invitation to participate in the 2nd Annual Latino Art Fair of Dane County. This is a non- profit, all volunteer event that is sponsored by the Latino Chamber of Commerce, the Madison Public Library, Centro Hispano, and the Latino Professional Association.

For the second year, local Latino and Latina artists will exhibit their work and we’ll kickoff Hispanic Heritage Month! The Fair is an initiative to showcase the richness of the Latino culture in Dane County and engage our community in celebrating our affinity for the arts. The event attracted over 100 guests our first year and we expect attendance to continue to grow. This year, the fair will be held at the beautiful new Central Library Building. Throughout the evening there will be music and a wine and cheese reception. The event will be free and open to the public. Artists are encouraged to sell their artwork and accept various forms of payment.

Beginning this year, artwork will be juried by professional artists, university art faculty, local gallery owners, and other arts professionals. Selected artists will be notified by email, mail, or telephone, by Friday, July 4, 2014. Beyond the honor of being selected for this high quality exhibit, winners may be chosen to receive these special awards:

• Best of Show Award

• People’s Choice Award

Details on how to register can be found at: http://goo.gl/dL5akfApplication deadline is June 30, 2014.

We look forward to seeing you there!
