Madison, Wis., August 8, 2018 — The 2018 Madison Vegan Fest will be held at Madison College’s Truax Campus on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 10 am to 5 pm.

One of the featured presentations this year is a free cooking class at 10:30 amby professional chef Dama Wells-Foster, who is also the owner and co-founder of Sol D’Licious Kitchen in Kenosha. At the fest, she’ll teach participants to make no-bake vegan cheesecake and protein bites. Wells-Foster will also be available to field questions on all aspects of vegan cooking.

“I’ll be excited to see the reactions of everyone there,” said Bethany Mehta, an organizer of the fest. “Many people don’t realize there are delicious vegan versions of their favorite foods.”

There is no cost to attend the fest and parking is free. Everyone is welcome — from omnivores who are just curious, to longtime vegans and vegetarians.

Madison Vegan Fest will have three featured speakers, a second cooking class, a panel on effective animal advocacy, a kids’ area, dozens of exhibitors, and lots of delicious food (free samples and larger portions for purchase).

A complete list of speakers, exhibitors, and food court vendors can be found at www.madisonveganfest.org.

About the organization:
Madison Vegan Fest is organized by a group of 11 dedicated volunteers with a mission to bring people together to enjoy delicious vegan food, hear from engaging speakers, and explore ways to live more compassionately.
