Support LGBTQ organizations on #GivingTuesday

by | Dec 2, 2014 | 0 comments

The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been dubbed “Giving Tuesday” as a way to give to those organizations doing good work in our communities and counteract the buying frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Here are some ways you can support LGBTQ non-profits in the Madison area and beyond this year:

GLSEN: Today only, you can make a #GivingTuesday gift to GLSEN and see your donation matched dollar-for-dollar as part of our Campaign for Student Leadership. That means you can double your support just by acting now and making a gift of $75, $50, or any amount you choose.

Fair Wisconsin: On Giving Tuesday, celebrate the season of giving, celebrate marriage equality in Wisconsin, and celebrate the work of Fair Wisconsin in 2015 to end discrimination and achieve true lived equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans* Wisconsinites – – Just make a donation any time before midnight Tuesday, December 2nd and we will send you a free bumper sticker! Click here to make a contribution and claim your free sticker – – – > http://fairwisconsin.com/donate/

Victory Fund: Make a $25 tax-deductible gift today to help support training LGBTQ candidates to run for public office and make change in their communities.

OutReach/Willma’s Fund: Donate today and support one of Madison’s longest running LGBTQ community resources.

Diverse & Resilient: Join our work to ensure that LGBT people in Wisconsin thrive, living healthy, satisfying lives in safe, supportive communities. There are many ways to make a contribution to the cause: Make an online donation to support Diverse and Resilient’s work. All donations are tax-deductible.

GSAFE Wisconsin: Support LGBTQ youth in Wisconsin–send an activist to camp, give a holiday gift, order resource materials, or just make a donation to help create school communities where LGBTQ youth and all students thrive. Donate here.
