Our story began long ago in the hallways of the Milwaukee School of Languages. We were just kids, navigating middle school life, and sharing the court as teammates on the basketball team. Even though Rosha was a grade ahead of me, we formed a genuine connection that transcended age. That foundation of friendship proved unbreakable. After high school, while we dated others and experienced life’s detours separately, we never truly left each other’s orbit. We were the best of friends, hitting the nightlife, sharing laughs, and always there for one another—our lives beautifully intertwined even without a romantic label.
Then came fall of 2023. After a few years where life had pulled us into different paths, we both found ourselves single. A simple text led to a casual meet-up for breakfast at my house, and from that moment on, the universe seemed to click into place. We never stopped seeing each other. What started with friendship blossomed into a deep, undeniable love. Everything suddenly made sense; we were perfectly in sync with our life goals, our vision for the future, and how we saw ourselves as a partnership.
Our journey culminated in a moment that felt both intimate and profoundly right: We tied the knot in our living room on October 28, 2025. It was a week before the Supreme Court’s momentous decision on same-sex marriage, a powerful testament to the fact that our love makes its own rules. Our shared future is bright, featuring goals of owning several properties and building a family with three beautiful children. Our greatest dream is to eventually move to Puerto Rico, embracing our roots and raising our family in the warmth of the island we both love.
